OUR STORY

Every great adventure starts somewhere… ours started in Thailand.

In 2026, we (Francois & Minuette) took our very first international holiday together. We had no idea that one trip would completely change the direction of our lives.

While exploring the colourful streets, markets and shopping centres of Thailand, we kept seeing squishies everywhere. They were fun, bright and impossible not to pick up. At the time, we thought they were simply a popular souvenir and never imagined they would become something much bigger.

Before flying home, we bought a small dumpling squishy as a gift for Francois' younger sister. When we gave it to her, she absolutely loved it. She couldn't stop squeezing it, showing it to everyone and talking about it.

That was the moment everything changed.

The day we landed back in South Africa, Francois looked at me and said,

"Today we're changing our lives."

His dream was simple: to build something of our own. Something that would give us the freedom to travel the world together, revisit Thailand whenever we wanted, and create a life built around passion instead of routine.

Without hesitation, I was all in.

That's how SquishCo was born.

More Than Just a Business

We've been together since 2021. High school sweethearts, best friends, and now fiancés, we've always dreamed of building something together.

At just 23 years old, we decided there was no better time to take the leap.

Every product you see, every market we attend, every parcel we pack and every customer message we reply to is handled by us. SquishCo isn't run by a big company or a large team — it's built by two people who genuinely love what they're creating.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple:

To become South Africa's favourite squishy brand.

We want to build a community where people of all ages can discover products that make them smile, collect their favourites, and enjoy the excitement of every new release.

From our colourful packaging and arcade-inspired branding to every thank-you card we include in an order, we want opening a SquishCo parcel to feel like opening a gift.

This Is Only The Beginning

SquishCo started with one holiday, one dream and one little dumpling squishy.

Today, we're building something much bigger.

We hope to attend markets across South Africa, grow into shopping centres and pop-up stores, launch exciting new collections, and continue sharing our love for squishies with thousands of customers.
